Portugal must implement several measures within specific deadlines in order to comply with this directive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We highlight some of the main measures and associated deadlines:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Renovation of Existing Buildings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2028: All existing non-residential buildings with a floor area exceeding 2,000 m\u00b2 must be equipped with solar energy systems that are suitable, economically viable and functionally efficient.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2030: All new buildings must be near-zero emissions buildings and incorporate renewable energy systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Improving Energy Efficiency:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2026: Implement measures to increase the energy efficiency of existing buildings, with the aim of improving their energy ratings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2030: Ensure that a significant percentage of existing buildings, both residential and non-residential, have undergone extensive renovations to improve energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Promotion of Renewable Energy:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2026: Set targets for the use of renewable energy in buildings, including the installation of photovoltaic solar panels and heating and cooling systems based on renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2030: Significantly increase the share of renewable energy in buildings\u2019 energy consumption.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Infrastructure for Electric Mobility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2026: Install charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in new buildings and in significant renovations of existing buildings, with a special focus on non-residential and residential buildings with more than ten parking spaces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2030: Further expand charging infrastructure to support the growing fleet of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Financial Support and Incentives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By 2026: Develop and implement financial support programs and tax incentives to promote the energy renovation of buildings, the installation of renewable energy systems and the adoption of energy efficiency technologies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; These measures are essential for Portugal to meet the objectives established by the EPBD and contribute to reducing GHG emissions, aligning with the European Union&#8217;s climate goals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; TDGI&#8217;s Energy Solutions sector, specialized in consultancy, auditing and energy analysis, develops studies and integrated technical solutions, according to the needs of our clients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More about Energy Performance of Buildings: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dgeg.gov.pt\/pt\/areas-setoriais\/energia\/energias-renovaveis-e-sustentabilidade\/desempenho-energetico-de-edificios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Desempenho energ\u00e9tico de edif\u00edcios (dgeg.gov.pt)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Find out more at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdgiworld.com\/en\/services\/energy-solutions\/\">Solu\u00e7\u00f5es de Energia: Instala\u00e7\u00e3o de pain\u00e9is solares TDGI &#8211; Tecnologia de Gest\u00e3o de Im\u00f3veis, S.A (tdgiworld.com)<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":15762,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[178],"tags":[177,114],"class_list":["post-15759","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-2024-en","tag-energy-solutions","tag-home-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.5 (Yoast SEO v27.5) -
